He was born in Wayne County on February 13, 1910, to James A. And Emma Hale Gill. He married Violet B. Thomas September 1, 1930 in Clay City. She survives.
Glenn was a member of the Clay City Christian Church, the Clay City Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite in Belleville, Ainad Shrine Temple in E. St. Louis and the Clay County Shrine Club.
He is survived by daughters, Patricia Janice Schopf, Norma Ann Gordon, and Linda Faye Tolliver; two brothers, Harold and Gaylord Gill; one sister, Rosa Mae Billingsley; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Clay City chapel of the Cardascio Funeral Home with burial in the Clay City Cemetery.
