John Lewis Capps, always called Lewis, was born on May 27, 1904 to Paris Pzaro Capps and Minnie Mae Moore. He was the oldest of 7 children that also included: Sina Faye Capps Burtrum(Virgil), Orville Willis Capps(Minnie Hershey), Lena Frances Capps Gossett(Ovie),Sarah Lorena Capps, Cleta Mildred Capps Marrs (Virgil) & Mary Louise Capps. He married Mamie Lola Bullington on Feb 21, 1923 and had one child, Bobby Wayne Capps (Norma Lee Crowder) who was born April 23, 1931 d. Aug 16, 2004. Lewis had two grandchildren, Randall Wayne Capps and Sarah Louise Capps Long (Christopher Lee Long). I was named after my grandfather's two sisters who died young: SARAH Lorena and Mary LOUISE.
