Musician. He won a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Group for the song "The End Is Not in Sight" with The Amazing Rhythm Aces in 1978. In the 1960s, he began his career as a guitar player-producer for Sam Phillips at Sun Studios in Memphis and joined The Amazing Rhythm Aces band in 1975. He toured with numerous artists such as Dan Fogelberg, Judy Rodman, Dolly Parton, Suzy Bogus, Nanci Griffith and Brooks & Dunn. Burton contributed his session talents to the recordings of Dan Fogelberg, Don Williams, The Oak Ridge Boys, Emmylou Harris, Crystal Gayle, Mickey Gilley, John Conlee, Judy Rodman, Nanci Griffith, TG Shephard, Bobby Broddock and Bobby Bare. His last solo album, "Byrd Braynz", was released in August 2002.
