He was born Feb. 8, 1895, at Valley Center, and had resided in the Wichita area most of his life. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, various Masonic orders and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his widow, Verna; a son, Eugene A. Brooks, Augusta, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Abell, Oklahoma City; a brother, Cecil F. Brooks, Rifle, Colo.; a sister, Sarah J. Brooks, Newton, Kan.; and four grandsons.
