Mrs. Dickinson, widow of George M. Dickinson, died Sunday, April 20, 2003. Born in Bamburg, she was a daughter of the late Simeon Wesley and Mattie Kinard Sandifer. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Alter Guild, Amity, and Rosa Lee Circle. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and taught at Augusta Circle Elementary School, Greenville, and also many years at Thornwell Elementary School, Hartsville. She was a graduate of Winthrop College. She was a former member of Pine and Lake Garden Club, Thursday Study Club, DAR and UDC.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, George Moye and Lynn Dickinson of Fort Mill; daughter and son-in-law, Martha Moye and Chandler Peel; grandchildren, Wesley Peel, Jonathan Peel, Rebecca Dickinson, Thomas Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Chandler Peel II, Caroline Peel. She was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Davis.
