Chico Enterprise-Record, Monday, April 24, 1961: "Leona Adeline Bigelow. Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Adeline Bigelow of Gridley, who died Sunday at an Oroville hospital, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Service Society Chapel, 1508 Locust St. The Rev. Nathan McFarland of the Apostolic Gospel Temple will officiate.
Burial will be in the society cemetery. Mrs. Bigelow, 66, was born in Kansas Sept. 18, 1894. She married George E. Bigelow in Missouri and they came to California in 1936. They had lived in Butte County, mostly in Gridley, since then.
Mr. Bigelow died in November, 1957. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Arthur W. Wilson, of Chico, and several nieces and nephews."
