Dale Allyn Barger, 51, a former resident of Appanoose County, died
Wednesday, April 15, 1992, at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines.
He was born April 10, 1941, in Centerville to Earnest and Minnie M. Conn Barger. He was married twice, Suzie and Doreen, and divorced both times. They both survive.
Also surviving are two sons, Steve Barger of Ankeny and Mike of Centerville; two daughters, Rachel and Marlene; a brother, Don of Des Moines; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Dale Allyn Jr.
He attended the Centerville High School and graduated in 1959. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Vietnam conflict.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 1992, at 1 p.m. at the Duley Funeral Home in Centerville with the Chaplain Henry Bevel officiating with military rites in the Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The family will be at the funeral home to greet friends Sunday evening from 6 to 8.
Friends may call on the family members at 504 Jackson Street in Centerville. A memorial has been established to the family.
