He married Melvina A. Wells on August 7, 1952.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1960 receiving The National Defense Medal and resigning at the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class.
He worked forty years in the construction industry as a union carpenter and roofer.
Mr. Felkins is survived by his wife of fifty years, Melvina Felkins of Chino Valley, Ariz.: son, Buttons Felkins of Prescott daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Leo Hurley of Kingman, Ariz. and Ronda and Travis Mansor of Paulden, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren brothers and sisters, Odis of Circleville Utah, Alice of Mesa, Ariz., Herb of Las Vegas Nev., Kenny of Payson Ariz., Francis and Patricia both of Southern Ariz. and Sharon of Maud Okla.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12th, 10am at the Chino Valley First Southern Baptist Church, 1524 N. Hwy. 89, Chino Valley with Rev. Mark Reeder officiating. Friends may call on the family from 9-10 am before the service.
Interment with full military honors will follow at the Chino Valley Cemetery.
