Martha Rebecca Hines was born July 10, 1886 at Ink, Missouri. She was the daughter of John and Caroline Chilton. She passed away November 26, 1978, in her home, at the age of ninety-two years, four months, and sixteen days. Becca was united in marriage to George Alfred Hines, November 29 1908 near the vicinity of Ink, Missouri. To this union seven children were born. Beatrice Leona, John Undewood, Lena Mae, Nora Ethel, James Howard, Thela Francis and Georgia June. She is survived by four children, John Hines of Eminence, Mae Haycraft of Joilet, Illinois, Thela Caylor of Rockford, Illinois and Georgia Alcorn also of Eminence. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. And a host of relatives and friends. Becca was preceded in death by her husband George, one son Jimmy, and two daughters Beatrice in infancy and Ethel. Becca professed her faith in Christ early in her life. She was a member of the Baptist church here in Eminence. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her loving kindness touched all the hearts of everyone who knew her. Becca was both very faithful and active in her church activities, and remained so until the time of her passing. She got much pleasure from piecing quilts and working with her flowers. She will be remembered for her alertness, sense of humor, and youthful spirit, for it gave much pleasure and enjoyment to her family as well as all who knew and loved her. Becca will be greatly missed, but it brings extreme comfort to all our hearts at this time, by knowing that she has joined the Lord and Saviour whom she loved and served so faithfully.
