Funeral services for Charley Hamilton Ledbetter, 99, Birch Tree, were at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, May 28, 1998, at Corinth Cemetery in Birch Tree under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Mtn.
Mr. Ledbetter died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at Birch View Nursing Center, Birch Tree.
He was born Jan. 11 1899, at Birch Tree, the son of John Allen and Sarah Pruett Ledbetter.
On April 2, 1921, he was married to Georgia Floyd and to this union two children were born.
On Sept. 10, 1945, he was married to Ara Vincent White.
Mr Ledbetter was of the Assembly of God faith and attended Pine Hill Assembly for many years.
Survivors include one daughter, Bishop, Calif.; one grandson, and one great-grandson, both of the state of California; three step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one niece, Springfield; and four nephews,.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ara, in 1979; one daughter, Yvonne Ledbetter; four brothers; and one sister.
