Murrel Otto Keeling was born May 10, 1903 in Shannon County, Missouri, the son of Alfred and Sara Jane Ramsey Keeling and departed this life Sept. 2, 1990 at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, one brother, and two sisters. He is survived by three daughters, Rebekah Gillis of San Francisco, CA, Donna Hansen of Trimont, Minnesota, and Quanna Anderson of Friendswood, Texas ; two brothers Ruben M. Keeling of Clifton, CO, and Richard Keeling of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Alta Short of Mountain View, MO, and Hazel Miller of Summersville, MO; thirteen grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday Sept. 4, at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Summersville, with Rev. Bud Younger and Rev. Leland Stoops officiating. Burial was in the Corinth Cemetery in Birch Tree under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Summersville.
