Lyle "Jake" Colclasure, 92, of Louisville, died at 4:15 a.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Flora Health Care Center.

Mr. Colclasure was born July 24, 1916, in Oskaloosa, the son of Perry and Maude (Bishop) Colclasure. He married Marjorie Loretta Bateman and she preceded him in death Sept. 12, 2005.

He retired after working as an electrical lineman for Hinckle and McCoy, Salem, and was a horse jockey. Mr. Colclasure was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his son, Lyle Keith Colclasure; son-in-law, Bill McNeill; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; daughter, Shirley Keith Colclasure and sisters, Anna Crouse Brendall and Parale Combs.

The funeral was held at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, with the Rev. Mike Durre officiating.

Burial was in Iola Cemetery.
