Sister Mary Jude Rathsack, 68, of Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, died Saturday
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Convent Chapel,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Ferdinand Dupont, O. Praem will officiate with burial in
Holy Family Convent Cemetery.
The former Julie Rathsack was born Feb. 2, 1906 at Cato, daughter of the late
Anthony and Julia Radey Rathsack. She entered the convent in 1933 and professed
her vows in 1937. She was a homemaker at various Wisconsin communities, and in
San Miguel, Ariz., Stuebenville, Ohio, and St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West
Point, Nebraska.
Survivors include two brothers, Edward of Hortonville and Arthur, of Manitowoc
and four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Krappe, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph (Helen)
Staudinger, of Manitowoc, Mrs. William (Martha) Wentz, of Menominee Falls and Mrs.
Victor (Estelle) Pieper, of Brown Deer. Three brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. at Holy
Family Convent. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral
arrangements.
