Nun to Celebrate 50th Anniversary
Sister Killian, in charge of the kitchen at Good Samaritan hospital for 42 years, will celebrate her 50th Anniversary as a nun in Aug. 15. A native of Bavaria, Germany, Sister Killian came to America in 1891 when she was 18 years old. She entered the convent at that time.
She is a member of the Franciscan order and has been connected with the hospital here for 44 years. Sister Killian will leave later this month for Manitowoc, Wis., where she will spend three weeks at the Holy Family Convent. She will celebrate her anniversary while there.
