Sister Theodoret La Londe, age 91, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Thursday, May 23, 1996, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 1996, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem. with burial in Holy Family Cemetery.
The former Gladys La Londe was born February 26, 1905, in Manistique, Mich., daughter of the late Napoleon and Zepherine Tailleferre La Londe. She entered the convent in 1920 and professed her vows in 1924. Sister Theodoret earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Chicago Conservatory, Chicago, Ill. Sister served as a music instructor at St. Mary, Kaukauna, St. Francis Hollandtown, St. John, Antigo, St. Mary, Rhinelander, St. Mary, Waukesha, St. Mary, Algoma, Sacred Heart, Oshkosh, Holy Family Academy, Manitowoc, Wis.; St. Mary, Delaware, SS. Peter and Paul, Wellsburg, W.V.; St. Francis de Sales, Manistique, Mich. Since 1972, Sister Theodoret had been residing at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; a sister, Lorraine Repp, Cape Coral, Fla.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Holy Family Convent. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
