Alma Lee Featherston, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Featherston was born March 25, 1920, in Warm Springs, Arkansas, to the late Almus and Lillie (Holt) Kenner. Mrs. Featherston retired as a secretary with Shelter Insurance and she was a member of the First Church of God in Doniphan.

On March 23, 1940, she married Carson James "Kit" Featherston in Kennett, Missouri. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Bob Featherston of Doniphan and Larry Featherston of Springfield; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Featherston was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gen Allen.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm. Friday, October 16, 2009, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, October 17, 2009, at the funeral home chapel with Brother Ben Jordan and Brother Dan Craig officiating. Burial will be at Doniphan City Cemetery.
