Nita Carol Noblet, age 63, of Flora, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the home of her sister, Rita, in Flora.

Nita was born January 9, 1952, in the Flora Hospital, Flora, IL, 8 hours after Rita, to parents Arthur N. Noblet (born 2/7/1910) and Lucille Harrison Noblet (born 9/2/1915). Her twin, Rita Cheryl Noblet was born at home in the country in the morning. When it became apparent that Nita could not be born at home a neighbor, with a tractor, pulled John Neal’s ambulance in on a mile of mud road.

Having graduated high school in Flora, Nita was influenced by her mother’s creativity and saw beauty in everything and touched everyone’s heart with her talents. People will remember Nita for her flair for decorating, both inside and outside homes, and cared for the little community park and the beautiful decorative planters around the square in Louisville. She was fun to work with and she set the pace.

Nita attended Red Brush Christian Church and was baptized last year. She had an unfaltering faith in her eternal home.

She is survived by sisters: Jean (Mrs. Bob) Bailey, Wanda (the late Mr. G.B.) Holder, Rita (Mrs. Densil) Cook; brother: Robert V. (Karen) Noblet; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Neal Noblet (died 10/31/1989), and her mother, Lucille Noblet (died 7/27/2008).

A funeral service for Nita Noblet will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be given to Clay County Hospice or Clay County Cancer Crusaders and will be accepted at the funeral home.

If we decorate her grave with old rusty spatterware, she would be happy.
