Dempsey Bobo was granted 200 acres of land on the Andersonville Road in Franklin County, Georgia on December 8, 1829. Here he reared his family. When Hart County was formed in 1853, his land was encompassed in the new county.
He moved to Alabama about 1875, along with other members of his family. His wife, Nancy (Enmond) Bobo, died in Hart County, Georgia before the move to Alabama. He died in Marshall County, Alabama.
