Lillie Beatrice Davy was born on September 15, 1922 to Olsie Pearl (Roberts) and Theodore Dalen in San Diego, CA. She received nine years of schooling, and later earning her G.E.D.
She and Ezra Ward Davy were married on January 25, 1939 in Middle River, MN. They lived for most of their married years in the Skime area. After Ezra's death in 1980, Beatrice moved to the NorthStar Apartments in Roseau, living there until moving to the Ageless Care-Northern Horizons, in June of 2009.
Beatrice passed away on November 29, 2010 at the LifeCare Roseau Manor.
Bea worked at various jobs over the years, including a dietary aide at the Roseau Area Hospital. Her most enjoyable job was a "Foster Grandmother" at the Roseau School. She loved to sing in church; crocheting, sewing, reading and doing puzzles. She was a former treasurer for the Golden Valley Township and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Grygla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ezra; two brothers, Alvin and Harold; and a grandson, Shannon.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 2 PM at the Roseau Community Church. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-7 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Salem Cemetery.
