Norwood Oliver White, 75, late of Rt. 9, Box 1243, Milwaukie (Jennings Lodge) died Thursday afternoon at a local hospital after a week's illness. A retired carpenter, Mr. White had resided in Jennings Lodge for the past 11 years. Previous to that he had lived 13 years in Oregon City, coming from Washington where he had resided for four years after coming west from Nebraska. He came to Oregon in 1904.
Surviving are his wife, Annabell; five daughters, Mrs. Bessie Mae Boon, Salem; Mrs. Syble Evelyn Forseth, Portland; Mrs. Matilda Shumway, Portland; Mrs. Katherine Rachel Myers, Oregon City; Mrs. Beulah Gertrude Walker, Portland; two sons, Albert Thomas White, Cutler City, and Charles Howard White, Oregon City; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Gertrude Edwards in Nebraska; Mrs. Beatrice Green, Olympia; Mrs. Ella Ogla Burns, Longview; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held in the chapel of the Oregon City Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. Harry Taylor will officiate. Internment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
