Mrs. Carter was born December 26, 1932 in Haviland, Kiowa County, Kansas to Joel and Alice (Counterman) Hollister. She married Ronald R. Carter, April 24, 1978 in San Angelo. They moved to Clyde from Rapid City, South Dakota in 1990. Mrs. Carter was a retired cashier having worked for Fiesta Foods for 25 years and Lawrence Brothers in Clyde for 5 years. She was a member of the Eula Baptist Church.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband Ron of Clyde; three sons, Gary Kingsolver of San Angelo, Thomas L. Kingsolver and wife Vendla of Eula and Bruce W. Kingsolver and wife Kim of Colstrip, MT; one daughter, Sue Pounds and husband Walter of Eula; two step-daughters, Rhonda A. McDonald of Blue Springs, Mississippi and Tonya L. Carter of Jeannette, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and 2 brothers.
