William B. "Bill" Brooks of Emporia died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at his home. He was 87.The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Richard Warsnak will be the celebrant. Burial, with military honors presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Lowry-Funston Post 1980 and American Legion Ball-McColm Post 5, will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, after which the family will meet friends.Memorial contributions to the church or Hand in Hand Hospice may be sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O.
