CHESAPEAKE - Doris Copeland Goodrich, 79, of the 1800 block of Crestwynd Drive, passed away Feb. 17, 2010 in Chesapeake. A native of Dobson, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Jesse T. and Virgie Smith Copeland and wife of the late Eugene Gray Goodrich. She retired as a registered nurse for the U.S. government and was a member of Portlock United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Leslie J. Goodrich and Rebecca L. Huskey and her husband Gerald; a son, Michael S. Goodrich and his wife Rochelle, all of Chesapeake; a granddaughter, Leah Goodrich Jackson and her husband Jason of Plano, Texas; three grandsons, Aaron M. Goodrich and his wife Melissa, Nathan A. Huskey and his wife April and Alexander T. Huskey, all of Chesapeake; three great- grandsons, Jayden and Tristan Jackson and Shane Gray Goodrich; and a brother, William B. Copeland and his wife Lucy of Greensboro, N.C. A funeral will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Friends and family will gather at Riverside Memorial Park on Monday at 11 a.m. for interment. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to www.worldvision.org.
