Winneconne, Wis.--Robert Bernard Furman, pioneer resident of the town of Winchester, passed away Sunday afternoon at Ashland, Wis., where he and his wife were visiting their daughter, Anastasia, a teacher in the Ashland public schools. Death was the result of a heart attack. Mr. Furman had been a hospital patient at Ashland but died at his daughter's home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1871, in the town of Winchester. Survivors are his wife, Julia; two sons, Lieut. Robert B. Furman Jr., now stationed in Iceland, and V. Stuart Furman, Larsen; one daughter, Miss Anastasia Furman, of Larsen and Ashland; four brothers, T. E. Furman of the town of Oshkosh, William of Larsen, Earl of Texas and Dr. R. W. Furman of California; three sisters, Mrs. Lon Whold of Thorp, Wis., Mrs. Angus Clark of Larsen and Mrs. Harry Allen of Allenville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic church in Winneconne Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev. Victor Kaudy officiating.
