Inga Hansen, 93, formerly of Elbow Lake, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.
She was born to Almound and Pauline Ronning in Almora on Oct. 4, 1908, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She moved to Oshkosh, Wis., with her sister Mary, where she met Louis Blechl. They were married on July 28, 1928. The couple had a daughter, Beverly, and a son, Malvern. Mr. Blechl died in 1967. She was married to David Hansen on May 24, 1979. At the time of her death, the couple were residents of the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls.
Mrs. Hansen dedicated her life to her family and was active in the church. Surviving the Depression made her, in her own words, "a tough little lady." Her life was marked by simplicity and honesty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Louis; her daughter, Beverly; and her 12 sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her husband, David; son, Malvern (Kay) Blechl of Chaska; grandchildren, Courtney and Shane; great-grandchildren, Brittney and Haleigh; and several nieces and nephews.
