"A 16 year resident of Clinton, MS, he was an . avid golfer and a great husband. father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Charlean Evenson of Clinton, MS; and son Doug Evenson and his wife Tarnl: son Jeff Evanson, and his wife Beth; daughter Marla Hammonds and her husband Michael, all of Lee's Summit; step-children Brent Thornton and his wife Heather of Hazlehusrt, MS; and Todd Thornton and his wife 'Cathy of Cullman, AL; a sister Erlis Bjorndahl and her husband Erling of Hawley, MN; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., funeral Thursday 11 a. m., at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, 12700 S. Raytown Road, Kansas City, MO. 816-761-6272
