Ronald Jones, Sr. Age, 40. was taken to eternal rest suddenly on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Provena Saint Joseph's Medical Center. He was born on February 15, 1969 in Chicago, IL to Eulis and Pearlie Jones. Ronald was employed with Grant's Appliances of Joliet, IL since 2001 where he was a dedicated and devoted employee. His employer and team members stated, "Ronald was a perfectionist. He was very particular about his work and the truck(s) that he handled on a daily basis." He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnnie Terrell Sr. and Linda Terrell; and his paternal grandparents, Joe Jones and Mattie Jones. Ronald leaves to cherish his memories: his loving parents, Eulis and Pearlie Jones of Joliet, IL; his loving wife, Jessica Jones; his five children, Natasha Brooks, Demarius Jones, Jaleesa Holloman, Samitria Williams and Ronald Jones Jr., all of Joliet, IL; three brothers, Larry Jones, of Hattiesburg, MS, Eugene (Salena) Jones and Derrick Jones, all of Joliet, IL; four sisters, Betty Jones and Virginia Jones, both of Mississippi; Sideria Jones and Casanda (Rev. DeAndre) Robinson, both of Joliet, IL; his mother-in-law, Karen Shaw and father-in-law, Charles Tyrone Holloman, both of Joliet, IL; two sisters-in-law, Starkisha Herod and Tyreeca Holloman, both of Joliet, IL; two brothers-in-law, Tyrone Holloman and Carlos Holloman, both of Joliet, IL; one granddaughter, Shanya Shepard, of Joliet, IL; two close childhood and dear friends, Garland Mays and Jack Smith, both of Joliet, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; two god-children, Aryis Davis and Demontae' Gordon; and one honorary friend whom Ronald considered his brother, Johnathan Lewis. Visitation Friday, August 28, 2009 2-4 pm at the funeral home and 6-7 pm at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, IL. Service at 7 pm, Pastor Herbert Brooks, Jr., officiating. Interment Saturday, August 29, 2009 10 am at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL. Minor-Morris Funeral Home 112 Richards St. (815) 723-1283

Ronald was on the 400 block of East Bellarmine Drive in Joliet, IL which is where police found him with gunshot wounds to his head, arm and leg.
