Kenneth C. Leonard passed away suddenly at his home, 423 E. Benton Street, Joliet, Illinois on Sunday, March 19, 1978.

He was born in Sullivan, Illinois and has been a Joliet resident for 30 years. He was a self employed painter.

Surviving are his wife, Vesta F. (Shadwell) Higgenbotham of Joliet, three daughters Stella (Herman) Aten of Beaverville,Illinois, Alta (Robert) Wolf of Springfield, Illinois, Janice (LeRoy) Light of Rolland, Missouri; four sons, Robert, Bernard (Mary) Higgenbotham both of Joliet, Illinois, Marvin Higgenbotham of Farina, Illinois, and Glenn (Ella) Higgenbotham of Joliet, Illinois. Also surviving are numerous grand-children and great grand-children.

Funeral Services for Kenneth C. Leonard will be Wednesday, at the Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel at 11 a.m. Roy Thompkins, Major of the Salvation Army will officiate at the services. Interment is in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour before the services. Military services under the auspices of Cantigny Post VFW No. 367. Fred C. Dames Funeral are in charge of the arrangements.
