On the Hawk farm in Newton county Missouri, a boy was born to Charles David "CD" Hawk and Martha Jerusha "Mattie"(Fowler) Hawk.
He married Viola Olivia "Ola" McKelvey on 29 Dec 1928 at the home of W.A. Patton by Rev. C.L. Patton in Neosho, Newton county, Missouri.
His beliefs and actions were full of promise and hope and he saw the good side of everyone whether it was showing or not.
They had two children, Charles Herbert and Wilda Imogene.
Tragically, a self inflicted gun shot wound in his head closed the door on Ted's life. He had been devastated by the court hearing over his son's Herbert's divorce from his current wife, Leona. He loved his two grandsons. Unfortunately, he drove a little out of town and took his own life. Family and friends talked about how he always seemed to encourage others and regretted that they couldn't be there for him when he needed encouragement himself.
