O.M DuClos was born in Spring Texas. His father was Louis DuClos born in Texas, and his mother was Josephine Mayer of Vienna Austria. O.M DuClos's first wife was Dee Amanda Watson. They had several children. Louis Watson DuClos and Marie Josephine DuClos Roberts. His second wife was Elizabeth Norris of Ill. Elizabeth and O.M had one child together, Raymond Norris DuClos. This son died as a young infant. O.M DuClos was the Deputy County Clerk in Harris County, Houston, Texas for over 40 years.

Octave was a refined and proper gentleman. aahe wore a boutenier every day, He had a gardener grow flowers just for that purpose. He wrote the poem attached.
