LILLIE BELLE QUACKENBUSH
Lillie Belle Quackenbush passed away August 3 at her home in Washougal at the age of 89. She was born in Boise City, OK to James and Emma (Powers) Daniel. She was raised in Oklahoma and married George Quackenbush. Lillie became a homemaker and raised 7 children during the Depression, WWII and the Dust Bowl. They would settle in Washougal in 1984. Lillie taught three-year-olds for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for many years and was a member of the Parkers Landing Ward in Washougal. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George and son, Jim Quackenbush.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Jones of Washougal, Lois Freeman of Acton, CA, Lucille Lusk of Winston, MO, Daniel Quackenbush of Lompoc, CA, Sharon Lees, Washougal, WA, Cheryl Cones of St. Johns, AZ; sisters, Edith Earls, Mildred Forney and Emma Jean Daniel all of Colorado; brothers, Bud Daniel and Harry Daniel both of New Mexico; and numerous grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Saturday, August 9 at 10AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Washougal. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.
