Angelo Nicholas Lombardi, was born in Crecchio, in the Abruzzi Region of Italy on September 21, 1883. He was the only son of Vincenzo Giovanni and Filomena (Bucci) Lombardi of Crecchio. He had an older sister, Rosaria (Lombardi) Scarinci, who was born in 1875 and a younger sister named Lucia Lombardi.
Also known as A.N. Lombardi, Angelo arrived at Ellis Island in New York City on May 17, 1905 on the La Gascogne which sailed from Le Havre, France. He was a well known jeweler, businessman and community leader in El Paso, Texas during the 1920's through the 1940's. He owned his own jewelry manufacturing company, AN Lombardi Jewelers.
He served as president of the El Paso Italian-American Club, "Christoforo Columbo", which promoted the preservation of Italian language, culture and community and was appointed consular agent, representing the Italian Consulate in El Paso, Texas.
Angelo Nicholas Lombardi was the father of 5 children; Marie (Lombardi) Seidlinger, Vincenzo Dominick, Elizabeth (Lombardi) Davis, Anita (Lombardi) Steinhauser and Nicolo Angelo Lombardi.
He passed away on February 2, 1946 in El Paso, Texas and was buried at the Evergreen Cemetery beside his mother, Filomena (Bucci), his daughter Elizabeth (Lombardi) Davis and his first wife, Nicoletta (Alleva) Lombardi, and his second wife, Aida (De Pietrantonio) Lombardi.
