Charles was a farmer in Granite Township, Phillips County, KS.
Records indicated he first married Nettie Stewart on Aug. 31, 1884 in Phillips County, KS. They had a son, Ralph A., who died at age six months. Nettie died commensurate with the birth of her son Ralph.
Charles married Clara L (unknown maiden name) in about 1888.
Charles and Clara had six children (all born in Kansas except where noted): Vivian E [Hartzog] Myers (b. 1889 in Nebraska), Arthur Seneca (1892-1944), Charles "Walter" (1894-1977), Paulie (1897-1899), Mary (b. about 1903), and Carl R (b. about 1913).
Charles is buried with his wife Clara L. Cemetery records state the couple died on the same day. We have no other information about that.
Their sons Arthur, Charles "Walter," and Paulie are also buried in the Long Island Cemetery.
