Funeral Held Monday For Betty Kite 1945 - 1962 Funeral services were held Monday in the Tate Mortuary for Betty Kite, 17, who was killed Wednesday evening {10/31/62} in a traffic accident at Stockton. LeRoy Skidmore of the Tooele Sixth Ward bishopric conducted the rites. Bishop Albert Steadman gave the opening prayer and a ladies quartet, composed of Enid Spafford, Oneda Steadman, Vivian Faddis, and Marion Erickson sang "The Old Rugged Cross." Dorothy Maher played accompaniment and also played the prelude and postlude music. Donald Bradford, Principal of the Tooele Seminary, was the speaker. The ladies chorus sang in closing, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." The musical numbers were requests of the family. The Benediction was given by Everett DeLaMare. Interment was in the Tooele City Cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Grant Shields. Pall bearers were Delbert Mitchell, Darwin Woodruff, Deloy Cowdell, Kim Maylett, Lee Roberts and Kom Warren. Betty was born June 3, 1945 in Spanish Fork, Utah, a daughter of William H. and Edna Bransteitter Kite. She was a student at Tooele High School, and a senior with the Class of 1963 . Surviving are her parents, a sister, Glenda Gayle, and a brother, William LeRoy, all of Tooele, a grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Bransteitter, Fort Collins, Colorado.
