Chlorinda was married to (1) Solomon Philander Smith on 7 Jan 1837 in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. They had seven children, Melissa M., Louise Olive, Daniel, Cynthia, William and two that are unknown as of this posting.

She married (2) Charles Graves Ward, Jr., in abt 1854. They had two children, Felix and Isaac.

She married (3) Bethuel Holcomb on 28 Aug 1888.

"At a Ripe Old Age"...On Sunday last at the home of her son Dan Smith in Fremont Township occurred the death of Mrs. Clarinda Holcomb. Mrs. Holcomb was one of the very oldest people residing in the the county, having passed at the ripe old age of 94 years. Her home has been in this county about forty years, she having come from Canada. The funeral was held Tuesday of this week, the remains being taken to the cemetery at Elliota (Minnesota) for burial. Besides Mr. Smith, there are three other children surviving--Mrs. B. F. Headington, Mrs. Cynthia Tuttle residing in Wisconsin, and William, whose home is in North Dakota.
