Mary Dunn Parker Goodman, 71, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1935, in Salisbury, Mrs. Goodman was a daughter of the late Lois Eugenia Sanford and James Allan Dunn. She graduated from Boyden High School and attended Catawba College. She taught school at Sacred Heart Catholic School, worked for the Anti-Poverty Program and Salisbury Merchants Association.
Mrs. Goodman was a life-member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include son David Parker and wife Maggi of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughter Catherine Parker Harkey and husband Steve of Mebane; brother James Allan Dunn Jr. of Salisbury; sister Lois Dunn Lore of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Whayne M. Hougland Jr. officiating.
