LAUREL - Dorothea Helen Knaub, of Laurel, passed away April 4, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
Dorothea was born July 20, 1924, in Laurel, to parents George and Pauline Hardt. She grew up around St. Xavier and Hardin and graduated from Hardin High School.
Dorothea married Marion Clark Ingram in 1946 and they lived in the Spokane and Seattle area. Three children were born: Ronald, Linda and Diane. Marion passed away in 1962.
Dorothea moved to the Joliet area, where family was near, with three small children to raise. In 1971, she married Henry Knaub of Joliet. He passed away in 1983. She was also preceded by her parents and her daughter Linda.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Joyce) Ingram of Billings, daughter Diane Yates of Dickinson, N.D.; grandson Shane (Amy) Yates of Minot, N.D.; granddaughter Michelle (Chris) Lorash of Belgrade; brother Harold (Betty) Hardt of Joliet; sisters Wilma (Ed) Tuomi of Laurel and Alma Hardt of Joliet; several nieces and nephews, her special friend Peggy Hobbs, and her cat, “Stinky.”
Cremation by Cremation or Funeral Gallery, and burial in Auburn, Wash., at a later date. By Dorothea’s request, no services are planned. Memorials to American Diabetes Assoc. or charity of choice.
