Jack Bell was born in Pulaski County, Ky., on June 9, 1930, and passed away July 7, 2009.
When he was 9 years old, his family moved to Chicago, where he grew up. From 1951 to 1953 he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Hawaii.
Jack and Barbara met in 1955 and married three months later. They were happily married for 54 years They had four children, Bob, Rod, Jackie and Carol. There are seven grandkids and seven greats. Jack and his family lived in Hoffman Estates, Ill., for 27 years. Jack and Barb retired 22 years ago to Baldy Mesa and loved to call California home.
Jack was a gentle, quiet man and everyone loved him. He loved baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Angels of Anaheim.
The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m Friday, July 31, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hesperia, where he was a loyal member. He will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery.
