Allen Creason, 86, Glasgow, died at his farm July 31, 2006.
Mr. Creason was born Dec. 5, 1919 at Aholt, the son of Robert and Georgia Emma (Colson) Creason.
Mr. Creason married Marian Collet in Glasgow on Jan. 19, 1940; they have been married 66 years and she currently survives of the home. He was a member of the Glasgow United Methodist Church.
As a young adult he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) which was known as the (Tree Army) during the Roosevelt Administration. He was a farmer and resident of Chariton County his entire life. For 25 years he worked maintaining the levees on the lower Chariton River Levee District.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Creason is survived by a son, Wayne Creason and wife Marilyn of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Lois Stallman of Boise, Idaho; sister, Emma Alice Tholem of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bethel Kuhn and Hester Deatherage; four brothers, Herbert, Kelly, Robbie and Bo; an infant brother and sister; grandson, Mark Stallman; and son-in-law, Francis Stallman.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 4 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home with Rev. Janet Deneke officiating. Burial was in Washington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Weese, Raymond Creason, Vincent Collet, Bob Folks, Clifford Sanders and Roger Guilford. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Creason, Esco Collier and Ray Holtwick.
