Frederick Post, Frederick, MD - GEORGE T. M. SHUFFLER - George T. M. Shuffler, a life-long resident of Frederick, died Saturday morning at 1 o'clock of a heart attack at 204 West Patrick Street, where he had resided for the past 18 years. He was aged 75 years, 9 months, and 17 days. Mr. Shuffler is survived by the following grandchildren: Mrs. Sherman H. Boone, of Frederick, and Helen, Mary, Betty, William, George Sebastian, and Agnes Shuffler, children of a deceased son, and also two great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. The deceased was the son of the late Carl and Barbara Brish Shuffler, who came to this country from Bavaria, Germany. Mr. Shuffler was a devoted member of the Evangelical Lutheran church and Sunday school and was especially attentive to his duties in the Sunday school where he held the high record for attendance. He was also a member of the United Fire Company, Knights of Pythias, Fredonia Council No. 46, O.U.A.M, and Patriotic Order, Sons of America. He also had been superintendent of Carroll Park for the past four or five years. He was formerly employed at the old Brockey tan yard, which operated in Frederick a long time ago, and later was associated with George K. Birely and Sons. The body is resting at the funeral home, 8 East Patrick street where friends may call until the funeral services, which will be held at the funeral home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery. C. E.Cline and Son, funeral directors.
