Death of Mrs. B. F. Farr.

At the home of her husband, near Rock Spring, there passed out into Eternity on last Monday afternoon the spirit of Mrs. B. F. Farr, after many months of intense suffering. The funeral took place yesterday at Rock Spring Church and many friends followed the body to its last resting place. The deceased left a husband and three children to mourn her going away. The Sun extends condolence to the bereaved family in this severe affliction and prays Heaven's blessings to rest upon each of them.
September 9, 1914 issue of The LaFayette Sun:

In Memoriam.

Mrs. B. F. Farr was born in Chambers County October 30th, 1855; she was married to Mr. Farr September 15th, 1885. Surviving her is the devoted husband and three children Mrs. Mary Sims, Lorene and Bennie, and the following step-children: Chas. C. Farr, Mrs. Webster McRea, Albert Farr, Franklin D. Farr and Walter Farr. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church since 1887 and was buried in the cemetery there the day following her death. The funeral sermon was preached by Dr. W. C. Bledsoe, who was for many years her pastor, in the presence of a large congregation of relatives and friends. Mrs. Farr was one of the best of women; a true and affectionate wife and mother, a kind and thoughtful neighbor; gentle in all her deportment, and a devout follower of the Lord Jesus. She will be missed by all who knew her, but most of all in the home where she was so tenderly loved. But those who are so sadly bereaved in her death have the comforting assurance that she has passed into the Better Land. Many hearts sympathize with them in this great sorrow and prayers go up to the Throne of god's grace for them. May the dear family be reunited after this life is over in the better life of the heavenly home.

September 9, 1914 issue of The LaFayette Sun:

Hoottalocco - Mrs. Frank Farr died at her home last Monday about 2:00 o'clock, after several months illness. Thus another good woman has gone to reap her reward in a brighter world above. She suffered much during her sickness, and all that tender, loving hands could do was done, but death at last claimed her as its victim and she fell into that long sleep which has no awakening. Her body was carried to Rock spring Cemetery, where Dr. Bledsoe conducted the funeral services, and the remains were laid to rest in the silent tomb. She leaves a husband and three daughters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. The bereaved has our sympathy.
