Kept Marriage a Secret
The following from the Chanute, (Kans.) Tribune tells of the marriage more than a year ago of a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.G. Parker of Alpena, who has been making her home at Chanute for some time.
"Mr. and Mrs. Leo Warren Ditmar today issued announcements informing their friends that they were married more than a year ago, the ceremony being performed at Carthage, Mo., Wednesday, January 4, 1922. Mrs. Ditmar was formerly Delia Victoria Parker. She has been an employee of A.E. Frazier in the Theatre Pharmacy for three and one-half years. Mr. Ditmar is a fireman for the Sante Fe railroad.
"Miss Parker and her sister, Miss Edna Parker, of the Sunshine Mantle Company force, accompanied by Mr. Ditmars, went to Alpena, Ark., to visit during the holiday season a year ago with Mr. and Mrs. S.G. Parker, parents of the Misses Parker, and attend the wedding of another daughter in the family. Matrimony seemed contagious; at any rate, on their way home Mr. Ditmars and Miss Delia stopped at Carthage and were made one. Miss Edith Parker had returned to Chanute a week earlier, so she knew nothing about the wedding and the young people succeeded in keeping their friends from learning of it until they decided to announce it."
