Amanda was a quiet girl and always had a smile on her face. She was a good mother to her new baby Angela. At times it was hard but she was very good to her beautiful baby. She is survived by her mother, Mary Alice Turner of Midway Park; her father, Jessie L. Oates of Mount Olive; three sisters, Lauren Oates, Sharetha Oates, and Latasha Oates all of Midway Park; and two brothers, Anthony Oates and Nicholas Oates both of Midway Park. Amanda died in a fire at her residence at age 15 along with her daughter, Angela and four of her siblings, QuaNesha, Diamond, Dorene, and Jesse,
