Walter E. Duck, 84, 3422 Oneal, died at 11 a.m. in the Veterans Hospital in McKinney at 11 a.m. Sunday (sic).

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Otis Graham officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Duck was born Dec. 4, 1881, in Kendallville, Indiana. He was married to Elizabeth Jane Candler May 28, 1938. Mr. Duck was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was also a member of Greenville Masonic Lodge 335 and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of Greenville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Hughes White, Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Pitts, Greenville.

Services for Walter E. Duck, 84, well know Greenville retired railroad employe who devoted most of his spare time the past few years in activities of the American Legion will be held at the Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday conducted by the Rev. Otis Graham. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be George Betts, W.C. Poole, Raymond Gray, Kenneth Pearce, R.W. Cooper, M.L. Hulsey, Leroy Brigman and Tubby Ellis. All member of Otho Morgan Post 17, American Legion have been names as honorary pallbearers.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Greenville Masonic Lodge 335 as well as being an active member of the American Legion.
