WRIGHT, WILDA KATHRYN WEED, 87, a native of Columbus, IN, passed away Sunday October 19, 2009. She was a 1943 graduate of Louisville General Hospital School of Nursing, a member of Hillview Baptist Church and an avid sports fan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Wright; and a granddaughter, Anna Marie Gootee Bond.

She is survived by sons, Michael (Hilda) and Dan Wright (Julie); daughters, Becky Gootee( Mike) and Melissa Atkinson (John); sisters, Marcia Jo Carmichael and Katherine Keers; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive, with a private burial to follow. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions go to Down Syndrome of Louisville, National Alliance of Mental Illness /Louisville (NAMI) or Central Presbyterian Church.
