JUNE MARSHALL BOWEN

She was born June 27, 1925 in Linwood, MD to John and Mattie Marshall. She was a sister to Ray Marshall, James Marshall, Betha Singer, Bernice Thompson, Peggy Margaret Mitchell, Helen Bohn and Betty Bixler all of whom preceded her in death.
She met her future husband in Baltimore, Maryland at a Tall Peoples Club. She married Edward H. Bowen on October 7, 1950 and that began her life as a military wife, traveling all over the world. They were stationed in Frankfurt, Germany when they became parents of Michele, their only child. June's hobbies were sewing and machine knitting. She made all of her and her daughter's clothes over the years, she loved to read and she loved the Lord.
In 1978, her husband retired from the Army as a Sgt. Major and they moved to Pensacola where she was the church secretary at St. Andrew United Methodist Church for years and an avid member since 1980. She was a wonderful person to all who knew her.
She leaves behind a very loving husband of 57 years, Edward, H. Bowen; a loving daughter, Michele, her husband, Frank, whom she referred as her "son"; two loving grandsons, Jeff and his wife, Melody and Eddie, who will miss her dearly.
