The daughter of Floyd Spencer & Fern May Witzel Wilson, she married Stanley G. Voigt on Aug. 30 1942.
Lila F. Voigt, 74, of Bonfield, died Friday (Feb. 12, 1999) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Burial will be in Bonfield Cemetery.
She was born April 30, 1924, in Sherman, Mich., the daughter of Floyd and Fern Witzel Wilson.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley Voigt, whom she married Aug. 30, 1942, in the Methodist Parsonage at Herscher, by the Rev. Ed Mehl; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and David St. Germaine, Barbara and Ron Cordes, all of Bonfield; one sister, Barbara Lade of Kankakee; one sister-in-law, Florence Wilson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; five grandchildren, Douglas (Dawn) St. Germaine, Debra (Brian) Norton, Denise (Tom) Schlenz, Tamara (Brian) Lockwood, Todd (fiancee Gina Stevenson) Cordes of Bonfield; and four great- grandchildren, Tara, Tyler, Danielle, and Morgan.
Deceased are her parents and three brothers, Earl, KC, and Lyall Wilson.
She was a 1942 graduate of Kankakee High School. Mrs. Voigt served at the church on many different committees and positions. She was Kankakee Ways and Means Chairperson of HEA and a member of the TWIG for 14 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose.
She was on the election board in Bonfield and was a Bonfield census taker. She enjoyed the farm and traveling. She traveled to almost every state. Mrs. Voigt was a homemaker.
