She was a senior at Medina High School, where she participated in many activities including soccer, which was her favorite. Jessica also was active in softball, Key Club and Spanish Club, serving as a Spanish tutor, VOFT and organizing blood drives. She truly enjoyed writing for the Medinamite and too many other activities to list. She loved being involved in motocross with her brother, family and friends. Jessica loved helping others. She was warm and had a very inviting, friendly personality which is evidenced by the many lives she touched of people of all ages.
Jessica is survived by her loving family: parents, Phil and Tammy Schaffer of Medina; brother, Clint Schaffer of Medina; grandparents, Wilson and Joan Dunlap of Medina, and Jack and Barbara Schaffer of Wadsworth; uncles, Wilson Dunlap Jr. of Medina and Brian (Helen) Dunlap of Broadview Heights; aunt, Sarah (John) Hoffman of Hillard; cousins, Denise, Travis, Ben, Jordan, Sydney, Lynne, Hannah and Jacob; and many other extended family members, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Service: 10:30 a.m. today at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Pastor Chad DeWeerd will officiate.
Burial: Poe Cemetery.
