Jasper W. Fletcher of Mechanicsville passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Fletcher; two sons, Dennis and his wife, Carolyn, Kenneth and his wife, Donna; three grandchildren, Keith Fletcher of Miami, Candace Wilcox and husband, Rhett, of Louisiana, Brittani Fletcher of Harrisonburg; one step-granddaughter, Rachel Clark and husband, Jonathan; two sisters, Bertie West and husband, Eugene, Fay Burris and husband, Raymond; two brothers, Wilbur and wife, Vernell, Nelson and wife, Emily.

Mr. Fletcher was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church for over 50 years, and was a retired employee of Reynolds Metal Co. He served in Korea and received the Silver Star for Distinguished Service.

The family received friends Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6 and 7 at the Mechanicsville Chapel, Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Funeral services were held Thursday at Cool Spring Baptist Church, 9283 Atlee Station Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. Interment followed at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cool Spring Baptist Church Building Fund.
