Samuel E., who, after attending the Aaronsburg Academy, entered the sophomore class in Pennsylvania College in 1860, was graduated in 1863, and in 1867 was admitted to the Clinton County Bar, after which he practiced for ten years; in 1878 he entered the Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, and was licensed to preach the same year, after which he ably filled the pulpits in Bellefonte, New Berlin and Schellburg, Penn,; about August 1, 1894, he went to Salona to visit his invalid sister, and while there died, on the 14th of August.
